Established in 1940 we provide a warm and friendly atmosphere to residents throughout Consett, and surrounding areas. Blackhill Club is a brilliant place to enjoy yourself with friends or family with quality drinks and affordable function room hire available for all occasions, as well as in house affordable catering.

With deep roots in the community of Blackhill & Consett and a strong local heritage, we provide regular activities and entertainment for members and local residents alike.

 

Here at Blackhill Club, we have a Function Room to accommodate any event.

We have vast experience of hosting all kinds of functions from Weddings, Birthdays, Christenings and Holy Communions to Fund Raisers, sporting Events, and Presentation evenings, as well as many more over the years. These diverse rooms can be dressed and fitted to suit any design and our experienced staff are always available to help you plan your event.

Our comfortable Lounge houses a small dancefloor, mini stage, back lighting, disco lighting and PA system, flat screen TV and air-conditioning. With a maximum capacity of 80 people, this room is perfect for those smaller more intimate gatherings/events, creating a cosy and welcoming atmosphere.

We have our main Function Hall. (Concert Room) holding a comfortable capacity of 200 people, this room can be decorated and modified to suit any individual needs. Complementing excellent acoustics, a grand stage, large dancefloor, LED pelmet lighting, full sound system/PA, over-head projector and big screen are just a few of the many extras available.

    Our kitchen staff can cater for any function, from 3 Course Wedding meals, Afternoon Tea style buffet, Cold finger buffets, or Hot food, they can do it all.

    We can cater for all dietary needs including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten/dairy free. as well as any specific allergies.

  • It is as requirement that we are following a booking procedure before confirming all requests. We will require a fully filled out booking form and signed rules before your booking can be processed and verified.

    Our booking form has been designed for simplicity and if available in many formats. All booking forms and signed rules can be emailed, posted, or dropped off behind the bar.
